Road trip To Aliyar Dam and Valparai via Palakkadan Villages and Anamalai

Route Map (Pollachi - Valparai via Aliyar Dam)

Valparai is a hill station in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. This is located 3500 feet above sea level on the Anaimalai Hills range of the Western Ghats, at a distance of 95 km from Coimbatore and 55 km from Pollachi. There are 40 hairpin bends on the way to Valparai from Aliyar Dam. Valparai remains relatively undisturbed from pollution.

Early Morning Palakkad- Meenakshipuram road

I am not sure who's idea but a perumal temple on top of the hill, thrilling walk, no roads available. The Anamalai, Pollachi Valley view is fantastic.

Anamalai valley view from Perumal Koil Hill top

Aliyar Dam, needs to climb all the steps

She was my friend on that day...

You can see the beautiful Valparai Ghat road and Anamali hills behind me, that's my next destination

Aliyar Dam is located in the foothills of Valparai, in the Anamalai Hills

Stream flowing out of Aliyar Dam that used for irrigation.

Aliyar Dam Park, not well maintained but enjoyable.

So I am starting the ride valparai 40 Kms, its not easy 40 hair pin bends and a bad accident memory with Clint ma friend long back.

This bike performance was extra ordinary than what I expected

Monkey falls on the right hand side...

Monkey falls, Week days there wont be anyone
