If you are travelling to Thekkady from Munnar or vice versa opt the Devikulam, Chinnakanal, Udumbanchola, Nedumkandam Route. This route will cover maximum attracting spots on the way like

FYI:lease keep in mind that the distance would be approx 110 km instead of Normal Pallivasal, Rajakkad, udumbanchola road.
Ramakkalmedu:To reach Ramakkalmedu you need to take a left after Nedumkandam town then via Mundiyeruma, thookupalam junction.
Tip: If you have 1 hour time you can see the Penstock pipes crossing NH220 to Periyar Power house from Mullaperiyar Dam. All you need to travel 5 km through Kumily Cumbam NH220 Highway.
